A faculty member from Alnoor University chairs the discussion committee for a Master's student at the College of Pharmacy, University of Mosul.

Professor Dr. Essam Hamo Mahmoud, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, Alnoor University, chaired the discussion committee for the Master’s thesis of graduate student Rania Saleh Mustafa, presented to the College of Pharmacy at the University of Mosul. The thesis was titled: The Efficacy and Safety of Inositol in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of metformin, inositol, and coenzyme Q10 in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), by comparing the effects of these treatments on hormones, lipids, triglycerides, insulin resistance, and body mass index, as well as investigating the impact of diet on these variables.
The discussion took place on the morning of Thursday, September 5, 2024, in the presence of Professor Dr. Munir Taha Al-Badrani, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs at the University of Mosul. The committee included Assistant Professor Dr. Hammam Ghanem Ibrahim from the College of Medicine at the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Hani Mahidi Muhammad from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Mosul, and Professor Dr. Zeina Abdul Moneim Abdul Majid, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, University of Mosul.
At the conclusion of the discussion,
the Assistant President of the University of Mosul awarded a certificate of appreciation to Professor Dr. Essam Hamo for his valuable contribution and efforts during the discussion.
