Faculty members from Alnoor University oppose violence against women and raise orange ribbons.

Under the patronage of the President of Alnoor University , Prof. Dr. Yassin Taha Alhijar, and the supervision of the Head of the Women's Affairs Department, Dr. Walaa Abdulwahid Al-Jawadi, and in collaboration with the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Pure Sciences,
an awareness and motivational campaign to combat violence against women was held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
The campaign was joined by Dr. Walaa Abdulwahid Al-Jawadi from the College of Pharmacy at Alnoor University, Assistant Prof. Dr. Mona Taher Al-Nufejy from the College of Health and Medical Technologies , Assistant Prof. Dr. Sajida Sharif from the College of Health and Medical Technologies, and Ms. Zeina Dabean Mohammed Zaki from the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul.
The campaign included the distribution of posters featuring motivational and educational messages for women, reinforcing the principle of self-confidence and enhancing their position in society. Women make up a significant portion of society and carry substantial responsibilities in working for the benefit of the community, whether as doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, or writers. They are the foundation for creating an aware generation that overcomes all difficulties. Women embody strength, determination, creativity, and an inexhaustible spirit of giving, contributing to all fields of life.
Orange ribbons were distributed as part of the campaign, symbolizing the fight against violence toward women.
The campaign ceremonies took place in the gardens and courtyards of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, where ribbons were distributed to female students, along with orange-colored flowers and bracelets.
